SAGIC Excellence in Training Trophy, sponsored by STIHL | 2012 Recipient: Bob Carrington

Bob Carrington obtained his Masters in Horticulture at the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew in London and subsequently was certified as an assessor for training by Agri-Seta.

Bob has worked in London, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Bermuda, Malawi and South Africa.

Bob and Gilbert Briscoe started BC Landscape Training and Consultancy in 1999.

Bob was instrumental in writing and getting the unit standards for Interior Plantscaping approved through Agriseta and SAQA.

His speciality is the delivery of NQF levels 1 – 4 qualifications in a range of horticultural subjects including Sports Turf.

His contribution to Horticultural training in SA is appreciated and recognized with the awarding of the SAGIC Excellence in Training Trophy, sponsored by STIHL.
